What is the CCC and when is repair worthwhile?
The CCC (Car Communication Computer) is the navigation computer of the BMW Professional navigation system. It controls navigation, radio and sound as well as the screen in the iDrive. If it fails, repair is almost always cheaper than a new part. Usually only individual components are defective, and the fault is fixed without replacing the complete module.
The computer always has two drives: one at the top for CDs, one at the bottom for the navigation DVD. We repair the module for all BMW vehicles from model year 2004 onwards and professionally handle the entire analysis. Defective components are repaired, reprogrammed if necessary, or restored.
At an authorised dealer, the solution is often replacement with a new control unit for a four-figure sum. With our repair service, you save yourself this expense and keep your original device.
Typical fault patterns: Is your BMW CCC defective?
Often, a long idle time of your vehicle also leads to failures.
- The BMW logo appears, but the sat nav does not start completely or continuously restarts
- The display remains completely black
- The system freezes and no longer responds to the iDrive controller
- Complete sound loss for radio, navigation, and telephone
- The fan runs permanently, the button illumination does not switch off
- The current draw is too high, the battery is flat after a few days of parking
Is the fault really with the CCC?
Not every failure originates from the CCC itself. It is connected in the MOST fibre-optic ring with other control units, such as the Top HiFi amplifier or the Bluetooth and telephone module. If one of these is defective, the entire ring can be disrupted.

What does BMW CCC repair cost?
The flat rate starts at 330 EUR including VAT. Depending on the fault pattern, fixed surcharges apply, which you can see directly in the repair order.

Most devices are dispatched by us on the very same day, meaning the overall processing time is very short.
Recoding the module is usually not necessary after repair. In some individual cases, however, recoding is also required. Correct coding is only possible when installed in your vehicle, not outside of it, otherwise interaction with the other modules cannot be guaranteed.

What does CCC mean on a BMW?

In most cases, we will repair your navigation computer on the next day after receipt. On site in Augsburg, it takes about two hours on average by appointment.
Is there a warranty?

Will the module be fully functional again afterwards?
Yes, you will only get the computer back once it is running perfectly and reliably again. If that is not possible, we will call you.
Can a DVD drive with reading error be repaired?
Please call us in advance if your computer no longer reads the navigation DVD. We will then clarify whether a repair is possible in your case and how much it will cost.
Do I have to remove the computer myself?
Yes. Removal and installation are carried out by you or a workshop of your choice. We do not offer an installation service.
Can I send it in from abroad?
Yes, international shipping is also possible. Shipping from abroad costs extra; we will inform you of the costs in advance.
